Board of Directors: The time, effort, and dedication displayed by all of you is immeasurable. Don and Darlene, the both of you are the face of the organization that all have come to know and love. This is the second time that Leighann will be traveling to Tennessee. Since becoming members of NECMO Leighann has grown in confidence and in her music abilities to say the least. While in Connecticut for the [Northeast Invitational Country] Showdown the friendships that have been forged between all came to light to me with a comment from Roxie to Leighann (who at this time last year I told Jackie she is Leighann's competition)☻ when Leigh did not take the win Roxie stated and I quote "that's okay Leighann we'll kick her butt in Tennessee". They both stay in touch with each other. I think in retrospect all of the members in NECMO are good kind hearted people with the same goal in mind to bring out the best in all. I want to thank you, Don, and the other Board Members and volunteers who put so much effort into the award show. My friends and family were very impressed by the quality of the award show, and we all had such a wonderful time. It was truly a reflection of your hard work and dedication to the organization. I joined NECMO back in March because all of the members were so welcoming during a time when I did not have very much support. I was overwhelmed at the award show by the heartfelt support on behalf of all the competitors. I was especially honored to receive the People's Choice Award and to be part of the NECMO family. To win the Horizon Award and be picked to sing at the award show made the trip even better. I know you work very hard with the Board to get all the show tickets and the dinner gift cards so I thank you for that too. Without your help I may have not been to TN at all. With all the problems with jobs and our country's economy any help that a family can get really makes a big difference.
